Our team is made up of experienced Retail Veterans – from both the Retailer and Supplier side, allowing us to understand all the nuances of what it takes to be a successful partner to our customers and our vendors.
I started Tall Sales in 1985 with my former partner, Tim Murphy. I’ve had the pleasure and privilege to build the Tall Sales team to what it is today and look forward to continuing to overcome challenges, sharing successes and staying light on our feet to continue to meet the needs of the ever-changing retail environment.

I have been a part of the Tall Sales team for over 25 years and have formed some creative and dynamic customer and vendor business relationships. Hobbies include golfing, fishing, and grilling. I enjoy spending time with my wife, two grown children, their spouses, and four grandchildren. “Let’s Make it Happen!”

When I'm not doing my job that I love, at a company that is like extended family, I enjoy coaching hockey, fishing, hunting, and spending time at the cabin with family. “Do not confuse effort with results.”
Nate Bartuska

Starting fresh from college, I have worked for Tall Sales for over half my life – first learning the Service Side and now in Sales. In my free time, I enjoy golf, traveling and cheering on my two children in their sports. I am also a diehard Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan and still have hopes the Huskers can find a way back to the top of College Football!

With a Psychology degree from Augsburg College, I entered the exciting and ever-changing world of retail! I would never have imagined when I started with Tall Sales that I would be walking into what I consider my second family. I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 sons, 2 dogs and planning house projects. I’m an avid reader of mystery novels and watching real life crime shows on TV along with volunteering for various activities at school.

Prior to joining Tall Sales in 2009, his retail career began as a store merchant with Menards and Category Manager & Buyer with Ace Hardware. When not at work, he spends time with his family and enjoying the outdoors. Terry is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2002.

I graduated from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University and prior to joining Tall Sales, my retail career began as a Merchant at Target Headquarters. Outside of work, I am sort of a Minnesota Sports Fan, enjoy traveling and spending time with my wife and children. I am most proud to be recognized in St. Joseph County Indiana as the 1997 Optimist of the Year.
Paul Idzik
Account Manager
Graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison, I have worked in retail my entire career, most recently as a merchant at Target. I still think as a merchant in preparing presentations for customers to try to make things as easy as possible. I have a passion for music, sports and collecting memorabilia. I also prioritize spending time with family, which currently ranges from under 1 to 97 years old!

Paul Bein

I started at Tall Sales as a service rep in the field, which provided me with a wealth of experience and knowledge in customer service, merchandising, and retail planning. I am currently responsible for managing Mid-States Corporate office, and all of the individual members. Outside of work, I am an avid golfer and enjoy spending weekends on the course. I also love spending time with family and being competitive in all aspects of life – which has allowed me to be involved in Coaching my nephew’s youth football team. Safe to say, I have 2 Dream Jobs!

Originally hired in the Stress Management Department as the TSC Yoga Teacher, I quickly realized my Yin and Yang are better suited for life in the Sales lane. When I am not on the road for work, I am adventuring to new places with my husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs. “The harder you work, the luckier you get”.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, I have been enjoying representing manufacturers in the Lawn and Garden industry for over 20 years. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the lake with family, boating, fishing and being outdoors.
Steve Gilbert
Account Manager
I joined the Tall Sales in 2015 and work primarily in the aftermarket automotive side of the business and manage our service for a number of customers. After many years working in IT in large corporate environments needed a change of pace. Outside of work you can find me working on computers or in the garage working on cars. You also can find me in the yard tending to one of my 350+ varieties (and growing!) of Hosta. I also enjoy fishing, hunting, skiing, and hanging out on the patio playing yard games and having barbecues with friends and family.

My journey started with Visual Merchandising, Inventory management to Customer Service/Office Management in multiple industries. I landed at Tall Sales and can’t imagine working with a better group anywhere.
When I am not hard at work, you can find me outside riding my bike, walking my dogs, around a campfire with family and friends or in my gardens, just to name a few!

I started working early in life in the retail market. I have been working with retailers for over 40 years. I have been with the Manufacturer Representative Agencies for over 35 years. I have lived in MN my entire life and enjoy every aspect of the outdoors that it offers. I come from a very large family and love spending time with my Husband, sons, granddaughter and family and friends experiencing multiple adventures and looking forward to many more.

As a walk-on scholarship in Women’s Field Hockey, my competitiveness and drive have never left me. Over the years, I worked many jobs that allowed me to be available to raise our 3 children until I found my career in the rep business 22+ years ago. I love it and have not looked back! I love spending time with our family, gardening, riding bikes, taking our two boxer dogs out to the park and hiking around, and just enjoying the outdoors.

I started on the vendor side of the world, and I have known this group for 30+ years. In 2011, I decided to officially be part of the Tall Sales Team, supporting several large accounts. I have been around horses most of my life showing in 4-H back in the day and then moving to National and World shows. I have won World Championships bringing home the big trophy!

After graduating from Minnesota School of Business, I landed my first job with a rep agency. Little did I know that I would stay in the industry for over 30 years! Opportunity brought me to Tall Sales, and I have never been as happy to go to work. I enjoy spending my spare time with family and friends. My free time can be explained by this quote, “So many books, so little time”.

My initial career path started with being a public high school teacher, then veered off into the business world. Now with 12+ years of experience in wholesale and retail, I am excited to be a part of the Tall Sales Company. In my free time I enjoy both paper and fiber crafting, reading, and baking.
Sara Dahl

In 2017, I joined Tall Sales in the accounting department. In my down time, you will find me somewhere there is water, whether sailing the Apostle Islands on our Moody sailboat or running the river on a flat bottom with the hubby. When not on the water, I’m hanging with the family or sewing anything from Halloween costumes to boating crafts!
